Established in 1998, the Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu (PCAKK) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing palliative care for patients with advanced, incurable cancers in and around Kota Kinabalu. Over the years, our services have expanded to support patients living with end-stage organ failure and other life-limiting illnesses.
🌿Our Mission is to provide good symptoms control, compassionate care, comfort and bereavement support during the changing phase of patients with incurable cancers and end stage organ failures enabling the individuals to live days to the fullest.
We aim to improve quality of life for both patients and their families.🌿
🌿The Home Care Program of the Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu strives to provide excellence in the provision of the palliative care to the people of Kota Kinabalu. 🌿
🌿The hand represents love and care given by the carers on the patient's last journey.
🌿As the butterfly metamorphosises from caterpillar to pupa to its ultimate winged form so does the patient pass through the ravages of sickness, finalling revealling the inherent beauty of the human soul.
🌿Dark green fading to pale green signifies the transition from life to death.
🌿Yellow signifies the promise of eternal life.
